STEVE AND BARRY’S: is teaming up with tennis star Venus Williams to launch a new collection. The apparel line, called EleVen by Venus Williams, includes more than 120 pieces, including athletic footwear, track suits, fleece outerwear, street active apparel, graphic t-shirts, puffy down jackets with removable sleeves, denim jackets and jeans, velour items, tote and gym bags, jewelry, sports socks and bras. The line, pried at $19.98 and under. will debut during U.S. Open matches next week and in November at Steve & Barry’s stores.
FREEWEBS.COM: has launched an ad campaign for the Universal Pictures comedy “Mr. Bean’s Holiday,” in theaters today.The application lets users download a Mr. Bean calendar to their personal Web site, then upload the photo portrait of their choice and place it inside the movie’s stills. The campaign follows other entertainment-themed widget launches by Freewebs, including efforts for “The Number 23” and “Knocked Up.” The company also said it would form the Widget Marketing Association, a trade group to promote standards and best practices for widget marketing.
