BURGER KING CORP.: has signed a licensing deal with Mobliss, Inc. to create downloadable cell phone games featuring Burger King branded content, which are scheduled to launch next spring. One under development will let players vie for the role of the King’s protégé by facing challenges and progressing in the virtual world of a Burger King-themed city. Mobliss has publishing agreements with national carriers, including Sprint, AT&T, U.S. Cellular, Verizon, Alltel and T-Mobile. Burger King will promote the game through in-restaurant signage and packaging. When the content rolls out, people can send a text message to download and buy the games. BRIDGESTONE: struck a partnership to be designated as the official tire of the National Football League. The multi-year deal will include exclusive promotional opportunities, most notably title sponsorship of the first regular-season game to be played outside the U.S. when the New York Giants take on the Miami Dolphins at London’s Wembley Stadium on Oct. 28.
