7-ELEVEN INC.: is rolling out a new beverage concept—the Slurpuccino, a coffee-flavored Slurpee. Developed by the Coca-Cola Co., the Slurpuccino is a caffeinated, fat-free drink that has 61 calories per eight-ounce serving. The coffee- and caramel-flavored frozen drink targets young adults ages 18-34. The drink ranges from 99 cents for a 12-ounce cup to $1.69 for 40 ounces. The new offering will be available in a hazelnut-cappuccino flavor this fall.

UNIVERSAL PICTURES: has formed a six-year partnership with Hasbro, Inc. to produce at least four motion pictures based on some of the company’s popular board game properties, including Monopoly, Candy Land, Clue, Ouija and Battleship. The first movie is slated for release in 2010 or 2011. Universal plans to release at least one film a year after that. The William Morris Agency brokered the agreement on Hasbro’s behalf.

MINI THIN RUSH: will be the energy drink of choice at this year’s “Academy Awards.” At the “The Night of 100 Stars Oscar Gala,” an event to be held at the Beverly Hills Hotel, the more than 200 guests will have a shot at sampling two-ounce shots of the Mini Thin Rush Liquid Energy Drink.
