TWEEN BRANDS, INC.: said last week its Limited Too president Jill Dean resigned her position, effective immediately. No reason was given for her departure. The company has launched a national search a replacement. Dean had been at Tween Brands since October 2006. Lece Lohr, Limited Too’s executive vice president of design, will serve as executive vice president and interim general manager for the brand. In this role, Lohr will oversee direction for the brand’s activities, the company said.
SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT AMERICA INC.: is ramping up its licensing efforts for the PlayStation brand and other game franchises, including “God of War,” “Rotchet & Clank” “Resistance Fall of Man,” “Heavenly Sword” and “Little Big Planet.” Under the new deal, IGear Inc. will develop a line of T-shirts, headwear and other apparel based on the properties” Fortune Fashions will design T-shirts and hoodies for the mid-tier market and mass retail channels. Bioworld will create headwear, bags and accessories, while MJC will manufacture boxers and loungewear for boys and young men.
