XA, INC.: an event marketing firm, said that its wholly owned subsidiary, The Experiential Agency, Inc., has been selected by Harrah’s Entertainment as the public relations and event production agency of record for Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN. The casino is undergoing over a half billion dollar renovation scheduled to open this summer.
206: a lifestyle marketing agency that offers brand promotions and experiential marketing, has hired Jennifer Tweed as director of partnership development. She will work on developing partnerships for Ubisoft on their casual game titles for Wii, Nintendo DS and the PC, including the Petz and the Imagine lines, along with the My Coach franchise. She’ll also secure partners for various Walt Disney Records music releases, the Playhouse Disney properties, “High School Musical 3,” “The Cheetah Girls 3,” “Country Disney” and “DisneyMania.” She will also work to build partnership opportunities for new clients. Most recently, Tweed worked as senior marketing manager of strategic partnerships at Xbox where she developed and managed partnerships, including campaigns with Mountain Dew, Burger King, Kellogg’s, Doritos, Domino’s Pizza and Nestlé.
WALGREENS: is rolling out a new apparel line, called Casual Gear, for men and women across its 6,200 stores next week. The collection includes long- and short-sleeve T-shirts, tank tops, track, yoga and lounge pants, zip-up hoodies and quilted vests that can be mixed and matched. The line will feature 15 core styles, each available in two or three colors. Prices range from $6.99 for T-shirts and tanks to $14.99 for hoodies and quilted
