AMERICAN EAGLE OUTFITTERS: said last week President and Chief Merchandising Officer Susan P. McGalla will not renew her contract with the company. McGalla has been with the firm for 14 years. Her last day will be Jan. 31. McGalla plans to spend her remaining time building Martin + Osa, a concept targeting 28 to 40 year-old women and men, 77kids, a children’s apparel brand, as well as special projects. Jim O’Donnell, Chief Executive Officer, will assume the responsibilities as president. The company will conduct a search for a new chief merchandising officer.
