HASBRO: has teamed up with The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation to kick off a summer campaign to benefit the charity. Through Aug. 2, Hasbro will donate one toy or game for each item purchased during its Hot Summer Toy Event, offering up to $400,000 in toys and games for economically disadvantaged children. Shoppers can receive free shipping off Hasbro’s 2008 holiday toys and games from retailers including Amazon.com, Target.com, Toysrus.com and Walmart.com through the campaign. Actor Joe Pantaliano is promoting the effort in an online video to rally people to get behind the mission of giving early in 2008 The video is available at www.HasbroToyEvent.com.
DUNKIN DONUTS: has launched its first menu of better-for-you options. The DDSMART menu includes new and existing Dunkin’ Donuts food and beverages that meet at least one of the following criteria: 25% fewer calories; 25% less sugar, fat, saturated fat or sodium than comparable fare, and/or contain ingredients that are nutritionally beneficial. The items will be available in participating restaurants nationwide in August.
