New Yorker Picks Direct Response Executive

Nancy Fedder has been chosen by The New Yorker magazine as sales development director, direct response. She began her new job on Wednesday.

She will be in charge of the quirky, direct-response space ads that border the margins of the publication’s pages.

Fedder had been vice president of classified advertising sales at New York magazine for the last nine years. Primedia, the parent of New York, also publishes DIRECT Newsline.

The New Yorker is owned by Conde Nast.
