New Wave Acquires Cutter & Buck for $156.5 Million

New Wave Group AB has acquired Cutter & Buck for $156.5 million in cash.

New Wave designs and markets consumer products for the corporate promotional and consumer retail markets in Europe. It gains an upscale brand to distribute there.

For Cutter & Buck, a U.S. designer and marketer of upscale golf and sportswear, the deal brings a significantly expanded product offering for its U.S. market.

Cutter & Buck sells its products primarily to golf and specialty retailers, corporations and international distributors and licensees. Its brands include Cutter & Buck, Annika and CBUK.

New Wave’s brands include Orrefors, Kosta Boda, Sagaform, Craft, New Wave and Grizzly.
