New Service Lets Shoppers Give to Charities

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Consumers can now give back to the community by making purchases with their credit cards.

Through a new loyalty program called Tricordia, cardholders earn refunds from merchants that are transferred to the charitable organization of their choice.

The refunds can be combined with frequent flier miles and other credit card perks. The service is free; consumers must register their credit and debit cards at www.Tricordia.com and designate the charity they would like to receive the refunds. Participating merchants so far include Ramada Inn, dell.com, Century 21 and Walmart.com.

Tricordia LLC was launched by John F. Sickles, a cancer survivor from Greenwich, CT.
