NetGravity to Integrate NetPerceptions into Ad Server

NetGravity, San Mateo, CA, which makes software for serving online ads, has entered a partnership to integrate Net Perceptions’ new ad targeting system with NetGravity AdServer.

The companies said that joint customers will be able to target advertisements and marketing offers based on a user’s online behavior, enhancing AdServer’s targeting capabilities.

Net Perceptions, Minneapolis, is known for its recommendation software used by CDnow, Planet Direct and SkyMall, among others. The system continually learns both about each visitor’s individual interests and tastes and click patterns across the user base.

The companies said clients will benefit from the ability to track and target ads based on six unique user and environmental factors–user click behavior, date, page, reach and frequency, user navigation behavior and user key word entries.
