NetCreations Inc., New York, a provider of opt-in e-mail direct marketing services, has reported fourth-quarter net revenue increased to $10.5 million, a $5.5 million or 112% increase over revenues for the third quarter of 1999, and a 655% increase over fourth-quarter 1998.
The period ended Dec. 31.
Net income increased 678% to $1.9 million from $249,000 in the same quarter last year and operating income increased 758% to $2.4 million from $278,000.
For the year ended Dec. 31, net revenues increased 499% to $20.7 million, compared to $3.4 million in the same period last year. Net income increased 648% to $4.5 million, compared to $606,000 a year earlier. Operating income increased 682% to $5.3 million compared to $678,000 last year.
NetCreations CEO Rosalind Resnick said in a statement, “At the end of the quarter we had over six million email addresses in our database, adding over 20,000 new names per day on average. This compares to four million names in our database as of the end of the third quarter.”
She said the company delivered more than 72 million fourth-quarter messages, compared to 35 million during the third quarter and it delivered 145 million messages for the full year.
