Murder By Direct Mail Suspect Dies

Kathryn Schoonover, who was suspected of mailing cyanide packets disguised as nutritional supplement to a “hit list” of 100 individuals, died at a federal medical facility in Texas on March 25.

She had been arrested last August in Marina del Rey after a witness saw her wearing gloves to stuff packets into envelopes. A two-count federal complaint was put on hold in September after doctors said she had only six months to live.
