Marketing Services Group Inc., has acquired a 10% equity position in Smart from the Start.com, an on- and offline membership club aimed at 18-34 year olds. Terms of the transaction were not announced.
Smart from the Start.com, which will roll out nationally in first quarter 2001, dispenses information and advice on money, credit, cars, homes, employment, finance, travel and entertainment aimed at its target audience. Its sponsors and marketing partners include Alamo Rent-a-Car, Choice Hotels, Countrywide Home Loans, LegalWise Services, Lens Express, Quick Music and Certified Vacations.
