Monica Smith, most recently executive VP of list management at Novus Marketing, Valhalla, NY, has launched her own company, Marketsmith.
The new business, based temporarily in West Milford, NJ, will focus on new business initiatives. The company is “driven by the belief that technology, education and vision are the key to a successful marketing program,” Smith told DIRECT Newsline.
Database marketing and customer marketing to “get more value from the customers we’re acquiring and how we can retain those customers,” will be an underlying goal, she said. The client base will not be limited to direct marketers.
Smith’s first client, whom she won’t identify until next week, is “the most well-known service organization in the industry,” she said.
