New York City-based Loews Cineplex Entertainment and the National Football League, New York City, are teaming up on a co-marketing effort that starts with the NFL Kickoff Weekend on Sept. 5. A 75-second policy trailer produced by NFL films featuring NFL players such as the New York Jets’ Wayne Chrebet and Washington Redskin’s Bruce Smith will run before every movie at Loews Theatres throughout the NFL season, reminding audiences not to litter or gab during the feature presentation.
An NFL “Playbook” will be distributed in Loews Theatres, featuring the NFL TV schedule, information on fantasy football leagues, discounts from the NFL shop, and an entry form to win a movie screening with an NFL Player. An NFL Day at the Movies program will send children from local charities in 15 NFL markets to a yet-to-be-released movie with NFL players.
Loews will also sponsor Chrebet and the New York Giant’s Michael Strahan reviewing movies on “The NFL Under the Helmet” Saturday morning show on FOX, while reviews from additional players can be found at the Loews Film Room on NFL.com.
