24/7 Real Media has sold its Latin American operations, based in Brazil, to a group of Brazilian managers and investors.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
The new company, Realmedia Latin America LLC, will focus on expanding its market share within the Brazilian market. The company places ads on computers owned by Brazil’s seven million Internet users, as well as individuals in Mexico and throughout Latin America, through its Open AdStream platform.
“Brazil remains the fastest growing market in terms of Web usage and the number of wireless users is exploding,” Peter Gervai, managing director of Realmedia Latin America, said in a statement.
“Our lasting partnerships with many of the major publishers and advertisers throughout Latin America, and the ability of Open AdStream to deliver ads to multiple platforms, makes us extremely bullish on our future.”
