Live From Seattle: AIM Starts Healthcare Council

The New York-based Association for Interactive Media, an independent subsidiary of the Direct Marketing Association, is starting a healthcare council this spring.

Unlike many councils that are comprised of existing members, this group will attract members from outside the membership base. “The healthcare sector is growing tremendously,” said Ben Isaacson, executive director of AIM. “What we’re hearing from the vendors that are members of AIM is that healthcare companies are increasingly using direct marketing, and they don’t get it.”

The new council will be open to doctors, health maintenance organizations and pharmaceutical companies, among others.
