Melissa Data has released IP2Location, a database product that enables Web sites to identify the geographic location of their visitors using IP addresses.
According to the Ranco Santa Margarita, CA-based company, the tool can be used to help identify suspicious Internet orders to reduced charge-backs, avoid orders from high risk countries, display native currencies on order forms and calculate correct tax fees based on country and regions.
