Teradata, a division of NCR Corp., Dayton, OH, has launched a suite of seven pre-packaged customer-relationship management industry tools. Each of the packages are designed to be tailored and implemented within 90 days.
With separate modules designed for the retail, communication, financial services, travel and transportation, e-business and energy industries, each product incorporates unique return on investment (ROI) measures; industry-specific terminology; and applications chosen for specific benefits to each segment. The modules, which will be marketed under the name CRM Industry Express, will be available during the third quarter of 2001.
Automating most of the CRM functions allows companies to address time constraint and skill resource issues, Peter Heffring, president of Teradata’s Raleigh, NC-based CRM division, told DIRECT Newsline.
Additionally, NCR’s Logical Data Models, which isolate key data elements within each industry, allow Teradata to offer data-augmentation suggestions, allowing marketers to build data warehouses that feed directly into the new CRM systems.
