The New England Mail Order Association has started a cooperative catalog request program for its members.
Catalog members will pay a participation fee, and agree to insert 10,000 pieces into their outgoing packages beginning January 1, 2004. Members will contribute their own copy — including an 800 number and URL — and a four color image for the brochure. Each member will fulfill their own requests.
NEMOA will design and print the brochures. The fee to participate is $750; deadline to sign up is October 17.
The program will be limited to 20 participants. The first four are Vermont Country Store, King Arthur Flour, Plow & Hearth and Cuddledown.
