American List Counsel has been named to manage the U.S. News & World Report file of 2 million. The appointment takes effect Sept. 1.
U.S. News & World Report editorial columns include Nation & World, Money & Business, Culture & Ideas and Science & Technology. The magazine also publishes reports including American’s best colleges, grad schools and hospitals.
Subscribers are average age 45, 62% have household incomes of more than $50,000 and 69% attended college.
Under ALC’s management, market-friendly segments will be developed within the database, data will be organized into niche sub-files such as SOHO subscribers, professionals, and affluent readers. The database will be enhanced with demographic and psychographic data. ALC, Princeton, NJ, had managed the file years ago.
U.S. News launched in 1933 and merged with World Report in 1948 to become U.S. News & World Report. It’s Web site is at http://www.usnews.com
