The enhanced file contains more than 11.4 million names. HBBC targets aspiring and successful entrepreneurs who paid $40 to $1000 for information about starting or growing an existing business. Initial inquiries to HBBC are generated from double opt-in e-mail at homebasedbusinessclub.com. Follow-up surveys are sent to individuals to target products for those interested in real estate, online or mail order businesses. Buyers responded via direct mail or telephone. Walter Karl Inc. was the previous list manager.

Firstmark Inc. has introduced a list of businesses located in Hispanic communities. The count is 440,000. Firstmark’s database of U.S. businesses was matched with 880 Zip codes that have 50% or greater Hispanic populations to build this file. Telephone numbers are available.

NEWLY MANAGED INSERT MEDIA

Shoppers Advantage/Complete Home

Affinion Group recently selected Media Horizons Management to oversee a portfolio of insert media programs. These include the Shoppers Advantage and Complete Home catalog blow-in and package insert programs. One million Shoppers Advantage catalogs and 480,000 packages are shipped annually. Some 400,000 Complete Home catalogs are mailed annually and the corresponding PIP targets 300,000. Blow-in inserts may be as large as 5-1/2 by 5-1/2 inches. For the PIPS it’s 5-1/4 by 8 inches. The maximum weight accepted is.20 ounce. These programs were formerly handled at the LH Management Division/Leon Henry Inc.

DM2 has introduced a lead generation service that draws data from trade publication subscription lists. This data is profiled to create business-to-business leads based on buying patterns, purchase timeframe and product requirements. Oakbrook IL-based DM2’s database contains more than 23 million postal and 3.7 million e-mail addresses.
