RECONNECTING US
Re: “Frankel’s ‘Wake’ Begets A Party” (May, 2007)
This is so long overdue!
Thank you so much for the wonderful piece on the retirement of the Frankel agency brand. You really captured the spirit so well. It was almost like you were a Frankelite! I don’t know how you “got it” so quickly.
But you certainly did. It was beautiful.
Marilyn Barrett (the former copywriter who planned the June 22 party) said so many people only found out about the reunion through that piece. Close to 400 people have RSVP’d. So many more can’t come but are now reconnected. And that’s even more important.

Re: Relaunch (May 2007)
I really liked the change in the magazine. I had been toying with the idea of not renewing, but changed my mind due to the new design.
I also enjoy getting online updates.

I’ve always been a big fan of Promo magazine, which has always been known for its insightful stories and useful information.
John Herr (Promo creative director who conceived the redesign) has outdone himself.

The new look of Promo is fantastic.
Is it a “trade secret”? Could you please let me know the name of the fonts used in the headings and in the text? And is it commercially available? It certainly makes Promo very visually appealing and makes it even more enjoyable to read.
Thank you for your time and any information you can provide.

PROMO 100 ERRATA
The Promo 100 ranking (June, 2007) contained two unintended revenue errors that shift the overall positions of two agencies.
Eric Mower & Associates’ 2006 net revenue was $27.11 million, not $37.11 million as we reported. Two-year growth was 16%. With the correct data, Eric Mower ranks No. 38 (not No. 9 as originally listed).
Big Communications’ 2006 net revenue was $12.29 million, not $251,625 as we reported. (We made a data entry error while verifying revenue against accountants’ affidavits.) Two-year growth was 79%. That puts Big Communications at No. 65 in the ranking (not No. 85 as originally listed).
