I appreciate reading responses to my comments. Actually, they were first made in private e-mails to Richard H. Levey, who suggested sending them in a letter to the editor.
As for qualifications, I am an 11th-generation American who happens to be living in Europe at the moment. We get 24-hour CNN and BBC, as well as CNBC for less than the full day.
