Fortress Financial Group Inc. has appointed Les Smiedt to serve as marketing and advertising consultant to oversee online campaigns and promotions for prepaid credit cards and launches for new debit cards.
Smiedt has an extensive background in search engine optimization, e-mail marketing, viral marketing and other areas of Internet marketing. He signed a five-year contract.
Fortress expects to launch its own “Fortress” international debit card brand within the next two months. The company recently acquired Moneyworx Inc., a reseller of MasterCard prepaid debit cards. It plans to open a new office in Nassau, Bahamas, to serve its high net worth “offshore” cardholder customer base.
