Kimberly Clark and daytime talk show The View are out with a sweepstakes awarding free room makeovers worth $25,000 each.
Consumers can enter the sweepstakes via tear pads at participating retail stores or online at RoomADayGiveaway.com. In all, 16 winners will receive $25,000 toward the makeovers.
Fifteen winners will be announced through Feb. 16 on ABC network’s The View, which airs at 11 a.m. ET weekdays on ABC. The final winner will be revealed on the Web site on March 9. Home designer Genevieve Gorder kicked off the sweepstakes last week on the show.
In-store signage and online materials supports the sweepstakes, which ends March 2.
“Many people are looking for ways to spruce up their homes as part of their New Year’s resolutions,” said Laura Keely, director of Kimberly-Clark’s consumer promotion marketing group, in a statement. “What better way to help people stick to their resolutions and improve life at home.”
On the Web site, visitors can search for mini makeover tips. They include decorating hints, such as using soap as décor in the bathroom or applying strips of cloth or ribbon pillowcase trims to accent the bedroom.
Some 63% of consumers said that little changes, including rearranging furniture, can make a big impact. Some 54% of consumers said that a small change to a room can lift their mood or have a positive impact, according to a recent Kimberly-Clark survey of 1,000 people.
