Kellogg’s is getting ready to launch an on-pack promotion on 11 different cereals that will offer NASCAR fans the opportunity to collect six exclusive Hot Wheels NASCARtoon Racing Rev-Ups racecars, which feature characters from Cartoon Network shows.
Fans who send in four proof-of-purchases from 11 different participating Kellogg’s cereals will receive one of the select Hot Wheels Rev-Ups racecars, which feature such Cartoon Network programs as Scooby-Doo, Codename: Kids Next Door, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Johnny Bravo, The Powerpuff Girls and Dexter’s Laboratory, and a 13-inch metal track. The racecars include magnetic technology that allows them to climb any steel surface.
The campaign will officially launch Aug. 26-27 at the Busch and Nextel NASCAR races at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, where three full-size Cartoon Network-branded cars will compete for the checkered flag. The promo ends Sept. 30, 2006, or when supplies are liquidated.
The Aug. 26 Busch Series race will feature retailer Dollar General’s No. 34 Monte Carlo depicting a NASCARtoon Racing and Dexter’s Laboratory paint scheme-to be driven by Todd Bodine. The Aug. 27 race will feature Hendricks Motor Sports teammates Kyle Busch driving the No. 5 Johnny Bravo car and Brian Vickers in the No. 25 Scooby-Doo mobile.
Participating cereal brands include Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats, Bite-Size Mini-Wheats and Mini-Wheats Frosted Maple and Brown Sugar, Kellogg’s Raisin Bran and Raisin Bran Crunch, Kellogg’s Crispix and Cinnamon Crunch Crispix, Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, Kellogg’s Smorz and Kellogg’s Scooby-Doo Berry Bones.
