J.C. Penney Co. Inc., Plano, TX, will launch an online auction site in the spring to sell overstocked merchandise from both its catalog and retail divisions.
Its auction partner will be FairMarket Inc., a Woburn, MA-based network of auction sites connected through a single database of goods and services.
