Intersections Consumer Direct, which offers identity theft and fraud prevention services, has promoted C. Patrick Garner to president. Garner had served as executive vice president of strategic initiatives since February 2004. He will retain his title as chief marketing officer.
In his new role, Garner will develop and manage the Intersections Consumer Direct business group’s offerings for direct to consumer marketing.
“Bringing our services to the broader direct-to-consumer marketplace is an important part of our strategic growth plans,” said Michael Stanfield, chairman and CEO of parent company Intersections Inc.
Before joining Intersections, Garner served as senior vice president of Nextel Communications Inc., and as CEO of The Motley Fool Inc. investment firm.
