Intasys Corp., Montreal, has acquired 100% of Mamma.com, the self-described “Mother of all Search Engines” by buying out the remaining minority shareholders’ interests. The transaction entailed the payment of Cdn$1.9 million in cash (roughly $US 1.25 million) and the issuance of 4.65 million Intasys shares to the minority shareholders.
Intasys provides wireless, Internet-compatible billing and customer information systems. Intasys also provides strategic investment capital and management assistance to companies in the new media and telecommunications sectors.
