Instagram is strutting its numerical stuff for the first time. Here are the statistics the company is sharing in its Press Center:
– 90 million monthly active users
– 40 million photos per day
– 8,500 likes per second
– 1,000 comments per second
Of course, it’d be interesting to know what percentage of those “users” and comments are of the spam variety. Last month the company said it would dedicate some engineers to combat its spam problem.
This Saturday, Instagram will implement its updated terms of service, which the company tweaked based on user feedback. Instagram made it clear that it has no plans to sell users’ photos.
