InfoUSA, Omaha, NE, has appointed Bill Chasse CEO and president of its new Internet division, infoUSA.com. Chasse has been with infoUSA for over 10 years, most recently as president of the company’s small business and consumer group. David J. Thayer, formerly senior VP vertical markets and licensing, will assume Chasse’s previous responsibilities.
Chasse will initially be responsible for the May 10 launch of the company’s new business-to-business Web site, www.infousa.com, which has been redesigned as a vertical portal site for small business owners and entrepreneurs.
The company also announced that it will soon be launching a major TV ad campaign promoting its products and services. The campaign is designed to create brand awareness and to draw additional customers to the company’s Web site.
In order to be closer in proximity to its various Internet partners and potential partners, infoUSA.com will be located in Silicon Valley, California. The new address will be 913 West El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, California, 94087.
