HITTING THE M/A/R/C

Advertising giant Omnicom, New York City, agreed to pay $116 million to acquire M/A/R/C Group Inc., a Dallas-based marketing services company that specializes in customer relationship management systems. The new unit will become part of Omnicom’s Diversified Agency Services division, which includes ad agency Merkley Newman Harty, database outfit Rapp Collins, and promo shop Alcone Marketing.
