Hendell Named CEO of McCann’s MRM Partners

Reuben Hendell will join McCann Worldgroup’s MRM Partners as CEO in September. Pam Maphis Larrick, how had previously held the position, has been named chairman of MRM Partners.

Hendell will join MRM Partners from Digitas, a Boston-based CRM and direct marketing agency, where he has been an executive vice president and relationship leader.

“Under Pam’s leadership, MRM Partners has been expanding significantly in its size and scope of clients and capabilities, with the recent Microsoft worldwide account consolidation being but the latest recognition of its global growth and stature,” said John Dooner, chairman and CEO of McCann Worldgroup, in a statement.

Dooner continued, “Reuben’s experience with blue-chip clients, multi-faceted CRM expertise and multi-office background will help us build on MRM’s momentum, working closely with Pam and her terrific team of people around the world.”

Additionally, three other executives within the MRM Partners are being promoted to new positions. Bill Kolb, COO, adds the title of president; Patricia Berns, CMO, is promoted from executive vice president to vice chairman; and Joseph McGee, executive vice president, adds the title of worldwide account director.

At Digitas, Hendell has held primary responsibility for the agency’s Allstate, AT&T Wireless and Best Buy account relationships. He has also played a key role in Digitas’s U.S. expansion, having led the opening of the San Francisco office in 1997 to handle the Charles Schwab account and the Chicago office in 2001 to handle Allstate.

Prior to joining Digitas in 1995, he had pioneered new data mining and database marketing solutions as Senior VP-General Manager at Query Object Systems (formerly CROSS/Z International), a leading provider of proprietary database mining software and services. He previously worked on the client side at AT&T and American Express.
