Disappointing direct marketing sales and margin contributed to a flat first quarter for Harte-Hanks.
The San Antonio-based company reported revenue of $216.3 million, an .7% increase over the prior year. Net income fell by 19.2% to $16.2 million. The quarter ended March 31.
CEO Richard Hochauser said in a statement that the first-quarter problems were “exacerbated by the poor economic climate and war in Iraq.”
