Guitar Center, Inc., a musical instrument cataloger based in Agoura Hills, CA, has agreed to acquire American Music Group, Ltd., a New York-based band instrument cataloger, for $16.9 million.
American Music Group will operate as a division of Guitar Center. David Fleming, president/COO of American Music Group, will remain with the company and will report directly to Guitar Center chairman/CEO Larry Thomas.
