GTSI Corp. reported net income for the third quarter of $3.1 million up 56.3% from $2 million last year.
The government-oriented information technology direct marketer posted sales of $276.8 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, up 36.3% from $203.1 million last year.
The Chantilly, VA company attributed its increases to continued servicing of value-added IT solutions contracts with its federal, state and local government customers.
Net income for the nine months of 2002 were $4.5 million, up from a net loss of $520,000 last year.
Sales for the period were rose 30% to a record $654.6 million from $503.5 million last year.
Last summer, GTSI reentered the catalog arena after a three-year hiatus (DIRECT, Oct. 1).
