Groupon Opens a Concept Store in Hong Kong

Posted on

Groupon HeadquartersAs part of its efforts to expand beyond daily deals, Groupon has opened its first concept store in Hong Kong. The store will be located in Soundwill Plaza in Causeway Bay’s shopping area. Customers will be able to redeem lifestyle products and test them in a physical setting. Danny Yeung, chief executive and founder of Groupon Hong Kong, says customers in the country prefer picking up Groupon products as opposed to having them delivered. Back in July, Groupon opened up a concept store in Singapore. In that store, customers are able to browse, buy and print deals on the spot at any of its computer or iPad terminals. Physical goods can be redeemed at the store, and customers are able to try them out before purchasing. (MarketWatch, CNET Asia)
