If the response to the Clean & Clear video is positive, Google will push forward with more examples. The #SeeTheRealMe campaign, launched last year, puts girls, their differences and who they really are, in the spotlight. For example, one video shows the challenges of a girl growing up transgender. Another, a girl skateboarder who likes to wear makeup and is continually asked why she is a skateboarder and yet scenes of another young girl who finds popularity as a princess on Vine. Clean & Clear produced over 120 content videos last year that are closing in on the 32 million views so far.
Content marketing videos are a powerful marketing tool. When implemented properly they can drive a wide array of benefits for any organization, including increasing user engagement and generating engaged and qualified leads when marketing video content is strategically planned, produced and distributed for a particular audience. Video also provides collateral for social media marketing that should be shared on all of an organization’s social media channels. Video is now one of the most highly shared content formats on the Internet, especially on social networks.
Another benefit is improving SEO efforts.
“Marketers should keep in mind that search engines will index properly tagged videos very well, and they often include an attention-grabbing thumbnail pane in the search results page,” says Demand Metric’s Chief Analyst, Jerry Rackley. Consequently, the more videos your program produces, the higher your SEO rankings will become.
