Global Direct Inc., Calgary, Alberta, has acquired two Edmonton, Alberta-based direct-to-customer marketing companies: RN Marketing Solutions Ltd. and Innovative Communications Ltd. The acquisitions were financed by a combination of debt financing, existing working capital and future cash flows. The purchase prices of the two companies were not disclosed.
Both companies provide multi-channel direct marketing distribution services for the direct-to-customer communications industry. RN Marketing Solutions had fiscal 1998 sales of $2.7 million, and Innovative Communications had sales of just under $4.1 million.
