Steven P. Glaser, president of direct marketing services firm GlaserDirect, died on Oct. 20. He was 49.
Glaser was named president of Glen Ellyn, IL-based GlaserDirect in 1997. At the time, the company was called then JF Glaser Inc., for Glaser’s father, Joseph. Earlier this year, the company changed its name to reflect its focus on direct marketing activities.
In addition to his father, Joseph Glaser, Steven Glaser is survived by his mother, Elaine; wife, Julie A., nee Reedy, Glaser; children Michael, Megan and Brian Glaser; and siblings Susan Vierling, John Glaser and Amy Glaser.
Glaser’s direct marketing background included brokerage and management responsibilities at GlaserDirect, as well sales and operational management positions at a telemarketing service firm and an early CRM software firm. He also managed voice network and complex data network sales activities for global accounts at AT&T for 15 years.
Glaser was a graduate of Michigan Tech College and the Kellogg Business School at Northwestern University.
