Gitlitz to Shed Day-to-Day Duties at Lillian Vernon

Now that Kevin Green has been named president of cataloger Lillian Vernon Corp., acting president Jonah Gitlitz, who led the presidential search effort for the past year, will return to his duties as a board member, a position held for the past three years.

Gitlitz had served as president/CEO of the Direct Marketing Association between 1985 and 1997 and was widely credited with solidifying a large organization composed of people with opposing interests and with strengthening its lobbying efforts.

Green, the former executive vice president of the women’s apparel cataloger, replaces Howard Goldberg, who held the job between 1996 and 1998 when the board “decided not to renew his contract,” said spokesman David Hochberg.
