PC Connection Inc. posted an 11.2% increase in sales for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 2003, to $358.4 million from $322.2 million for the same period in 2002.
The Merrimack, NH-based marketer’s net income for the quarter was $0.7 million, compared to $2.9 million for the last quarter of the prior year.
Sales for the year ended Dec. 31 were $1.31 billion, compared to $1.19 billion for 2002. Net income was $5.9 million, compared to $3.2 million for 2002.
Net sales for the small- and medium-sized business segment increased in the fourth quarter by 19.0% from the fourth quarter of 2002 to $199.6 million. Sales to government and education customers increased year-over-year by 5.8% to $89.4 million. Sales to large corporate account customers remained flat with 2002 .
The company reported an 11% increase in the number of sales reps from 512 to 567 for the year. Notebooks and PDAs were the company’s best selling products.
