Energy trading company Enron Corp., Houston, has signed an agreement with America Online Inc. to sell power and natural gas to users of the America Online and CompuServe Internet services, published reports say.
Enron has formed a new company for the endeavor, called the New Power Co. Customers will be homes and small businesses–low-margin customers the company hasn’t targeted since 1998.
