Singer Enrique Iglesias has signed a multi-year deal as spokesperson for a new fragrance by Tommy Hilfiger Toiletries.
The deal makes Iglesias the face of True Star Men, a men’s fragrance set for a nationwide launch this fall. The True Star women’s collection, inspired by Beyonce, launched last September.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Enrique is an extremely talented and passionate artist with an engaging, charismatic presence,” said Tommy Hilfiger, principal designer of Tommy Hilfiger U.S.A. Inc, in a statement. “People around the world are instinctively drawn to him and moved by his music.”
The new fragrance is part of the master brand collection. Tommy Hilfiger Toiletries is a division of the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc.
Iglesias will make public appearances to support the launch.
In a separate development, Tommy Hilfiger Licensing has formed a multi-year licensing agreement with Olivet International to manufacture and distribute luggage, business cases and travel accessories. Tommy Hilfiger luggage will be available in leading department stores and specialty stores through out the United States and Canada beginning this fall.
