Egghead.com Inc., Menlo Park, CA, a direct marketer of technology and related products, has eliminated 77 jobs, or 12% of its workforce, in an across-the-board move that includes full-time employees, temporary workers and contractors.
The cuts include 40 people from its Menlo Park, CA headquarters and 37 from its Vancouver, WA operations, the company said in a statement. About 591 employees remain on board.
The reductions are an effort to streamline business operations and to focus on its business customers, CEO Jeff Sheahan, said in a statement.
