Online auctioneer eBay is monitoring items for sale on its site for possible copyright infringement. According to wire reports, the move is in response to pressure from software manufacturers and developers. EBay has been removing an average of 12 listings a day since the program began in December.
EBay now also prohibits the sale of anything recorded on a blank compact disc as well as DVD players and gaming equipment that can be used with pirated media.
