Lifetime Acquires ParentsClick Lifetime Networks has purchased ParentsClick Network Inc., a privately held social network and digital media company. Terms of the deal, which is Lifetime’s first digital acquisition, were not disclosed. San Francisco-based ParentsClick operates MothersClick.com and MomBlogNetwork.com.
Survey Examines Health Blogosphere A new survey by Envision Solutions reports that nearly half of American adult bloggers have recently written about a health-related subject. Of this group, 60% posted on blogs primarily dealing with health. In comparison to the first time this poll was conducted in 2006, fewer respondents reported blogging anonymously. Also, the percentage of health bloggers writing about their personal experiences has sharply decreased. Seventy-three percent of respondents said they had moderate or high confidence most health bloggers disclosed conflicts of interest.
Multiverse Launches Virtual World Virtual world technology provider Multiverse has debuted an application built on Facebook Platform. Multiverse Places will allow Facebook users to create customized avatars, send postcards and play games.
