Dunkin’ Brands has appointed two new brand officers to its Dunkin’ Donuts and Togo franchises.
The Canton, MA-based company has named Robert Rodriguez as Dunkin’ Donuts brand officer and Lisa McLean as Togo’s brand officer effective June 9. In his new role, Rodriguez will oversee strategic development of the Dunkin’ Donuts brand, including operations, marketing, franchising and new business initiatives for the company in the U.S.
Rodriguez replaces George Condos, who is leaving the company to spend more time with his family, the company said. Condos, who took over as brand officer for Dunkin’ Donuts in 2003, will be transitioning out of the company over the next two months.
Prior to joining Dunkin’ Donuts, Rodriguez worked as brand officer for the Togo’s sandwich chain in March 2004. Dunkin’ Brands is the parent company of Dunkin’ Donuts, Baskin-Robbins and Togo’s. Before that Rodriguez worked as senior VP-operations for Mrs. Fields overseeing seven national brands. He previously held positions at McDonald’s Corp., Taco Bell and Burger King.
As former VP-marketing for Togo’s, McLean will assume Rodriguez’s title. In her new role, McLean will oversee strategic development for the brand, including operations, marketing, franchise services and customer delivery. Before joining Togo’s, McLean held top positions at Deidrich Coffee and Fresh Express. She also held positions at Nestlé Beverage Co., Proctor & Gamble and Crate & Barrel.
Dunkin’ Donuts plans to triple the number of its U.S. shop to 15,000 by 2020, the company said.
